Lillian Care
Why do we like Lillian Care?
Problem
The number of healthcare professionals worldwide is decreasing. According to WHO, by 2030, there will be a deficit of 10 million healthcare workers, mostly in low and middle-income countries. The shortage of medical staff increases in rural and remote areas.
Solution
Lillian Care has developed a health platform where doctors and nurses work together as a team, providing more efficient and better care for patients living in rural areas. The platform will combine remote care and remote monitoring technologies together with in-person treatment to ensure high-quality medical care in rural areas.
Impact
Lillian Care’s impact is measured from two perspectives:
For patients, they have provided good on-site medical care to people living in rural areas through collaboration between nurses and doctors. Patients will be able to receive treatment without being forced to travel, and they will have medical availability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
For health centers in rural areas, Lillian Care provides primary medical care without the physician having to be physically present. Therefore, the physician does not need to live in the village, offering his or her services from a home office, which gives the physician a great deal of autonomy.
