Problem
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate among all cancers in Europe. In Spain alone, 8,000 people die each year due to pancreatic cancer. The leading cause of the high mortality rate is the lack of an early diagnosis method. Around 50% of pancreatic cancer patients are not diagnosed until they are in a very advanced stage. The survival rate over 5 years from diagnosis is less than 3%.
Solution
A medical assistant helps radiologists detect pancreatic cystic lesions by presenting similar cases to confirm diagnoses and predict the probability of malignancy.
