Rip Foods

Boost the protein transition and reduce the environmental footprint of livestock

Why do we like Rip Foods?

Problem

Livestock is responsible for 10% of annual global GHG emissions and is the main source of Methane emissions (c. 40%). As such, the IPCC considers that reducing global meat consumption is essential to curb climate change and reduce growing strains on land and water. However, switching to more plant-based diets has proven challenging.

Solution

RIP plans to enhance the protein transition by offering a plant-based meat alternative product with a better taste than those currently available in the market, and changing cultural attitudes and overcoming stigmatisation around vegan and vegetarian diets.

Impact

Boost the protein transition and reduce the environmental footprint of livestock, by overcoming existing barriers to adoption of plant-based substitutes across the mass population.
